Privacy policy

Both is a small app for couples living apart. This page explains what we store, why, and how to get rid of it. We keep it short because the list is short.

What we store

• Your email address, if you sign in with email. If you start without email, we store only a random account id.
• The name you enter, your time zone, and the status you pick (sleeping, working, free, missing you).
• Your answers to the daily question, your next meeting date, and the amounts you add to the trip jar.
• A push notification token, so we can tell you when your partner answers.
• Whether your couple has an active subscription and when it ends. We never see your card number.

What we do not do

• No ads, no tracking across other apps or sites, no selling or renting your data.
• Your answers are visible only to you and the one partner you linked with. Nobody at Both reads them.
• No AI reads or generates anything from your content. The daily questions are a fixed list written by people.

Who helps us run the app

• Supabase hosts the database and sign-in (servers in the United States).
• Resend delivers sign-in code emails.
• RevenueCat, together with Apple and Google, handles subscriptions.
• Expo delivers push notifications.

Each of them only gets the data needed for its job.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. Then it is gone from our database right away, and from backups within 30 days.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings, then Delete account. Or follow the steps on the account deletion page. Deleting your account also unlinks your partner.

Children

Both is for adults. We do not knowingly keep data from anyone under 16.
